2006 Pinot Noir
One is greeted by spice, plum, bing cherry, and orange zest in the aromas. Further layers of cocoa, nutmeg, and cassis develop over time. These flavors are echoed on the palate. The wine is intense in scale while maintaining excellent delineation and focus through the finish, always exhibiting beautiful balance. It's firm structure provides clues of more to come as it develops in the bottle in the months and years ahead. One will be rewarded by a gentle decanting in the near term.
